The non-wearing friction ring ensures perfect engagement of the scale ring when re-aligning the spindle. In addition it allows the setting of the scale ring on a static shaft.

Other connecting elements between scale ring and spindle have been eliminated which has made this new design more cost effective.

In addition to the standard scale (Type MCRS) the latter can be supplied with anytype of scale.
